Is it possible to save music from iTunes on my iPod or iPhone onto the car hard drive. Sure I could read the manual but it's nicer to post this and get to know some of you in the process.

Don't you just copy whichever albums you fancy over from the My Music folder on your computer onto USB stick?

Or wherever you have your Itunes set to store your music.

Pop that in the car and import.

Hmmm not 100% sure about this but I would presume that the music would have to be in mp3 format not aac. Any songs that you have purchased on iTunes will be aac and will require conversion to mp3.

You can't transfer from your iPhone to the hard drive...only from CD or memory stick.....

The HDD can read aac format files.

Also you can import from the ipod but you can only see the song titles from the music search and not via the folder view. I think the playlists don't import over though.

This tells you a bit more detail of the how to - http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=14445&p=213890#p213890

James - Glad you like it. I put my IPOD music on the HD more than 18 months ago and it has worked well. The only problem, which appears to be common to all uploaded music, is that the tracks are shown and played in alphabetical order - even when using the 'random' mode!
