E89 crunchy feeling, building from low revs. Any ideas?

Hi everyone, I have a 2011 e89 20i ok 60k miles and have just noticed and issue. Wanted to ask the forum if it sounded like a known issue / cause for serious concern.

Best way to reproduce the issue is to accelerate in 6th gear while the revs are low. Once it breaks past 3k revs it hesitates and feels a bit... crunchy?

I did also notice the issue in a lower gear when building revs from low down the counter.

Note that this certainly doesn't happen every time I accelerate. Any help, thoughts and advice greatly appreciated. I will keep an eye on the comments here

Hi, doesn’t make any unusual sounds while it’s doing the crunchy feeling? :?
Any warning lights or overdue a service maybe, I’m thinking this could perhaps be a miss fire but it certainly sounds unusual.
I’d get it looked at sooner rather than later in case it’s causing damage.
