As part of the book I'm writing for publication in 2026, I've produced an extract 'Buyers guide' for NEWBIES who are looking at buying an E89.

Hopefuly THEY will find it useful.

I'l update it over the winter.

I've now written about 1/3 of the content..pulling the pictures and graphics together is proving time consuming!

Splendid..given my words seem to not go down well with the establishment it will be a better choice!-:)
 
well done Peter, the only thing I think it needs (its only an observation not a criticism and apologies if its already hidden in there) I couldn't see anything on cracked alloys / oxidisation on the roof panels / water ingress in the boot / roof relays? As a 'newbie' surely things like this are important to look out for (maybe a checklist of common issues)?

Thnx…I’ve got various sections laid out…there’s going to be a HUGE section on issues and problems..the trade off is how much to repeat stuff at various levels of detail in different sections..the buyers checklist is a good idea that I’ll incorporate..the book is expected to be about 350-500 pages so this is just a condensed snippet..thnx for the comments and suggestions 🫡

Of course, all helpful and constructive inputs are always welcome..of course as editor as well I’ve just got to decide how valid and relevant those comments are!🤔

Yes..I was enlightened by a local professor of African studies who publishes his books there…better royalty,,,ability to do language variants and flexible call off in terms of print volumes..
