WANTED E89 BMW Z4 in the South East

Looking for an E89 Z4 in the South East (closer to Essex the better).

Ideally 2013 onwards, in good condition, without mega miles. A 20i/23/28i will be just fine, I’m not looking for the top of the range 35i. Both auto and manual considered with no real preference either way. All exterior and interior colours considered.

Really looking forward to owning a Z4 and have some exciting things planned with my son. Thanks!

IMHO be prepared to travel for the right car..

Ideologically most people are split between 20i/28i and the 23i..

FWIW most 28i are unnecessarily expensive as you can get a 20i re-mapped for a modest fee to meet or exceed the 28i.

There's an abundance of 20i and 23i on the market so you are in a very strong position as a buyer!

If you’re after 2013 onwards, that sticks you in 18i,20i and 28i for the smaller 4 cylinder engine variants.

23i and 30i (rarer) will be 09-2012.

As Peter says, all have IDENTICAL engines with different calibration mappings, so find the one that condition and feature wise ticks the correct boxes and power can be dealt with afterwards.
 
Happy hunting but as B21 said, be prepared to travel and try and do as much homework as possible and even ask for a current walk around video, I even paid for a mechanic to check mine over and told him what to look out for, I live in Cumbria and bought mine in London without seeing it in person. Good luck.

What you pick may depend on whether you have a preference for an N/A straight 6 (23i or 30i) or a 4 cylinder turbo (18i, 20i or 28i) as they going to be a different driving experience. Although you could always try one of each!

Hi I am looking to sell my 2013 E89 2.0 M Sport Manual if interested, Valencia Orange LCI, mechanically in very good condition, cosmetically needs wheels refurbed, some small dents sorted and some paint. I put it on Pistonheads classifieds yesterday and just listed on here too.

Located in Hampshire.

Hi Mada, I know you mentioned you were’t looking for a 35i. But if you did want to consider something with a bit more power, I’ve got my 2013 manual 35i for sale. Comes with BMW warranty, great spec and condition; I’m based in Bournemouth.
