E89 and E90 M3 suspension arms

Hello all,

I know this has been discussed in the past but I haven’t found anything completely comprehensive on the swap. I’ve upgraded the suspension to Bilstein B12s but now feel like the rest of the moving parts could do with a refresh. Also, it would appear the car would benefit from an alignment, so thought it best to upgrade and perform that as a fast follow activity.

What are the specific arms that people replace? I’ve seen the lower arm that the headlight level sensor attaches to but are there others that people swap?

Additional, what geometry do people then run afterwards that is a happy setup? I’m not looking to add camber plates or any strut top adjustment; just adjustment with the factory adjustment points.

Car is an N52 30i.

Many thanks!

Upper and lower control arms (front).

I used TRW, if I remember correctly they make the OEM ones, and just scratch the BMW branding off when selling under their own brand.

Can dig out the part numbers if you'd like.

Don't recall the geometry unfortunately!

I put on i think the trw.
The rubber bush is much chunkier than the original.
Bit more rigid.
Lower arm was missing the headlight fitting, i just used home made bracket jubilee clamp.
Tracking needed doing afters i know that.
This might be them:

If you’re there also fit meyhle hd tie rods…much better…a standard geometry is factory toe in and then 0.5-1.5 front with +1 on the rear ..you may well need adjustable rear camber arms..

Depending on budget you could add adjustable castor arms, I bought this kit, along with H&R front and rear anti roll bars, adjustable drop links, new bushes etc, it’s transformed the car, especially the roll bars.
