Hi. Further to agreeing a price and commissioning a premium inspection, unfortunately SE15 UAX (currently being sold on Autotrader - J26 MPG) has a leaking adaptive rear shock. Might get away with advisory on next MOT in Jan but really they need replacing. The seller wasn't willing to negotiate down 1/3 of the potential cost of changing the adaptive shocks, estimated at £1500. With that in mind, I am back looking for a high spec 35iS on a 2014,15 or 16 plate please. Ideally grey, blue, silver or black.

Please let me know if anyone wants to sell. Thanks

The adaptive shocks shag (technical term) pretty quickly ..you need to replace them in pairs …At least..

I agree but unfortunately the seller disagreed and chose to re-advertise without disclosing the known issue. Anyway.... time to move on to my next E89.... calling all owners of 35iS's they don't use anymore :-)

That’s a shame, good that you a calling it out on here in case anyone else misses this issue.
I can’t see that reg car on AT though. Unless it’s the one on the private plate mpg?

It is that car. It was on J26 MPG when the photos were taken. I was buying for 16k but felt that adding another £1500 for the new shocks combined with 8 owners, 61k miles and rear tyres needing changing shortly.. it was just too strong. Perhaps I'm wrong and Ive missed the chance of a lifetime but my gut says that I'm right. Lovely bodywork though and generally excellent. I wanted to mention it here, just in case a potential buyer scans these posts before viewing the car. Perhaps another car is waiting around the corner and it's for a good reason. I was planning on picking it up tomorrow and driving it to Goodwood Breakfast Club on Sunday :-(Screenshot 2025-07-31 at 17.34.43.pngScreenshot 2025-07-31 at 17.33.46.png

Looks nice but yes potentially expensive for the age and miles. I see he changed the front shocks but not the rears.
Yeah you’ll be in for another £2k straight away.

It was still listed until a few days ago I believe, but appears to have disappeared at time of writing this.

Someone must have bought it. Nice car but a bill to come for sure! I’m very keen to buy a good, late 35iS and happy to pay a good price if anyone has decided to sell before this winter,
