E89 30i SDrive: Oil, oil filter, sump plug washer and coolant specs

Hi,

I want to do an oil and coolant service but I´m not 100% sure of the oil, coolant and oil filter specs. and quantitites.

What is the oil spec for the 30iSDrive? I think it takes about 6,5 litres of 5W30 but I am not 100% sure about the BMW spec. Is it LL01?

Regarding the oil filter, does anyone the OEM part number? When I enter my registration in Autodoc I get various results in terms of height dimensions so I am not sure which is the correct one.

Dos anyone have any link to the oil filter tool/big socket? What´s the size? Is it 86mm?

With regards to the sump plug and washer, does anyone know the OEM part number? What is the size and type? 17mm/socket?

Coolant spec. and amount to use in a regular coolant change?

Any help, info and/or advice will be much appreciated.

I have Googled it prior to posting but I am still not 100% sure about various things, hence the post.
Normally I would go to my local BMW dealer to ask them for the OEM part numbers and take it from there but I am away from home at the moment.

API-SP 5w-30 oil..ll01 etc are obsolete..

GLYSANTIN® G48®

No problem with following going from 29k to 106k miles
6 litres Mobil 1
5 litres Glysantin with 5 litres de-ionised from supermarket.
Good brand oil filter like Mann or Bosch comes with copper washer for drain plug, reuse plug.
I ordered a big socket for filter, never fitted so always use one of those belt things, even seen some use an old belt.
Manual box, 2 us quart if buying US product...bit left over.
1 litre diff.
1 litre does brake fluid change.

Mann HU816 I believe is the oil filter.
86mm diameter 16 flutes is the oil filter tool.
17mm drain bolt.
Genuine BMW filters are Mann ones.
Assuming you have the N52B30 engine.
Don’t forget to correctly insert the cage part of the oil filter cap.
Some say to use 5w30 oil on engines up to 100k miles and then switch to 5w40 thereafter.
This is what I will do when I get to the next oil service.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to get the oil filter tool.
I am just waiting to do a few more miles with the existing oil, which has only 3k miles on it. Around mid-July I am aiming to do the oil change, air and polen filters.

Personally I just stick oil in that meets the spec. Aiming for changes at 5-7.5k or 1 year. You can adjust the grade but I've not found it make much difference.

I prefer MANN filters and they are often cheap on Amazon, HU 816 x for £6.13 delivered as I type. But Mahle are an OEM too.

I find the air filter doesn't need changing very often, it's easy to inspect while letting the oil drain.

Oil capacity for the N52 should be 6.5 litres.
BMW coolant is listed as suitable to mix with tap water unless in a very hard area. G48 can often be a bit cheaper but it depends how much you need.
I have capacity listed as 8.2 MT and 8.5 AT.
