Hello!

Long time forum reader and z4 fan, I felt it was finally time I got around to joining and contributing. I am based in Glasgow and work in the automotive electronics industry (Thought I would add this in case I can help with any questions).

I finally fulfilled my z4 itch in September 2017 with the purchase of a white 2012 20i msport.

I paid a little more and went down the BMW approved used route. Car was well prepared with new tyres, new pads and discs all round, refurbished alloys, front wheel hubs and bearings replaced and service items completed. I felt this combined with the 1 year of warranty made the main dealer premium worth it.

I am a year into ownership and my warranty has just expired. I got a new set of headlights and rear springs out of my warranty and just had a main dealer oil service. Other than that I have had no issues to date. I have enjoyed a few trips including a nice euro tour that I will try to do a write up on.

Now that the warranty is up I plan to get a remap to make the engine run the way the bmw engineers intended before marketing got involved!

Pyranha. Thanks for the big up! Wanted a manual rather than an auto but so pleased with the car. Roof was down on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday last weekend as the weather in Kent was glorious.
Got a weird look when the chap from the tile supplied brought out my ordered tiles and 5 x 2.4 metre lengths of ali tile trim. Put tiles in boot, tile trim through the ski hatch, wrapped in towels for protection, boot shut, roof down. Lovely!!!! :driving: :driving:
