E86 Z4MC Silver Grey / Black 2007 3.2l S54 - 6 Speed Manual

My 2007 Z4 M Coupe E86, Silver Grey, Black M leather interior and leather carbon effect dash, it’s a very high spec car, I have enjoyed my ownership but have a kid on the way so need something more practical.
Located in Solihull, West Midlands, B92, private message me if interested - £13,100.

It’s in excellent condition inside and out, even the drivers seat bolster has very little wear, and with the personal plate (MRZ 8604) it’s ageless.

Car has approx 139,000 miles but you wouldn’t know it, money has been no object, with an impeccable service history and preventative maintenance record.

It has a full service history at BMW and specialists (better than required), and all the important maintenance work over the normal service requirements, especially big end shells and the ARP bolt upgrade, and vanos rebuild and upgrade (all receipted).

The bootlid was repaired (a common corrosion issue) by BMW right near the end of the warranty last year (most of these are now out of warranty), the front bumper has been resprayed to a very high standard and looks fantastic.

I’m a bit surprised she hasn’t sold in the month it’s been for sale, on here :|

Interesting to read in your Service History notes, that she had:
Vanos seal kit, fitted at circa 73k;
Brake Discs etc, last changed at circa 83k & shes now sat on circa 139k.

A friend & myself, have been on the look-out for a potential joint track toy & this might fit the bill.
Could I therefore please ask: how the Vanos is performing currently & your estimated life left in the front & rear brake discs & pads? Purely, as both the above subjects - can be a hefty repair / replacement bill

Of worthy note: I see she’s had circa 13 oil changes etc

Something I probably should have mentioned is that I've recently spent £3k on the inspection 2 plus additional bits that I had done but at the last service, although there was no Vanos fault code on the ECU, they ran what they called a 'Vanos tolerance test' which failed at very low revs. There is a slight stutter which may be caused by the Vanos which is around 1,000-1,500 RPM - it pulls perfectly once beyond that. They quoted £1100 for parts and labour to replace the Vanos.

Regarding the discs, I think they were replaced at 110k miles - I'll have a look through all the paperwork and will let you know. I can take some photos also if that's any good to you?

Sadly, if we are facing a new Vanos bill - for circa £1,100 from the outset, it’s a no-go sorry.

On a mildly more positive note:
Personally, I think I may well of been singing the car’s praises & displaying your recent Insp2 invoice for circa £3,000 - on here for all to clearly see, exactly what you’ve recently invested in the car.

..Equally, if there’s an invoice for new brake discs & pads, you mention we’re fitted at circa 110,000 miles - I’d add that on here also, to reassure other interested parties, that it won’t need the expensive new discs & pads - in short due course..
