E86 retrofit on multifunction steering wheel

Hi there,

I want to install an M-sport steering wheel with multifunction keys on my z4 coupe. My cars does currently not have a multifunction keys - can this be installed retrofit and if so what parts would i need (I talked to the dealer but so far no answer).

Now the only thing that concerns me is that the parts dealer i've spoken to (in Germany) told me that I could not retrofit multifunction on my z4 coupe from 2007 - this puzzles me bit -apparently it was something about lack of wiring through the steering wheel column.

You need a 'repair' wire. Part number is on here somewhere. If you can't get it it's just 2 wires with connectors one end, you can make it yourself.
