Hi Guys

Im from South Africa, but have been regularly browsing this forum for a good couple of years. quite awesome!! and informative:thumbsup: long may it continue..

so I really need help as I cant find anything on here that might point me into the right direction.
So yesterday I traded in my long love 3.0si coupe for a 2007 M Coupe, the car still feels and drives like new , nice and tight, however I have an issue with the Nav/display screen, it comes up fine, motor seems to be working perfectly , but the screen is blank/dead. the radio works.
I have checked the fuses and they seem good, Even though I bought the car from a car dealer , i got hold and of the previous owner and he has said the screen always worked and never had an issue, however the car was sitting for the last month at the dealer as the country was n lockdown. I'm baffled as to what it could be, I really cant find anything concrete. any help will be much appreciated.

I would disconnect the battery for 30 minutes or so and see if that makes a difference once reconnected.

If you shine a torch on the screen can you see anything, it could be the back light has gone.

After you connect the battery. Check the LED in the centre console between the seats is blinking. Indicating the Satnav system is accessing the CD. Hopefully it just needs resetting.

Just have a look at, below the heater controls there a access panel, if you remove this you should see the screen wiring harness it use a bracket to hold some plugs together I'll try an find a photo but just make sure there are plugged in
