E86 GPS Antenna Replacement/Headliner removal

So my GPS is dropping in an out, I've narrowed it down to the a faulty wire on the GPS antenna underneath the dome light, and can get to the receiver no problem, the cable it connects into (SMB) is connected is just out of hands reach, and I need to get the roofliner off a little to enable me to replace it.

Anyone know how this is done on a Coupe? :)

The below image shows how the GPS Antenna Connects, part number 1 the knurled nut is just outta reach through the dome light :(

Heres a pic of the roofliner, which gives me pretty much no idea how to remove it.

So i was installing a SAT antenna today and i had to remove the headliner. It came off really easily, but for the life of me i could not tell what holds it up? I finally just held it against the ceiling and put all the trim and visors back on. It is staying up, but this didn't seem right...

i would have expected some clips or something...

That's from another site, I'm hoping it may just be case of removing the left-hand sun visor, will post pics as I attempt this.
 
I dont know about the coupe, but most headlininers are held in this just all the a, b & c pillar trims & the sun visors & grab handles etc. once all those are removed Id hope it just falls out
 
Cheers - Gonna give this a go at the weekend and will report back how I get on doing it. Hopefully with some pictures and a guide.
 
Will be good to know! I've a plan for my headliner but no idea how to get it out (aside from experimenting and being left with potentially a load of broken clips)

I've now done this and taken some pics. The whole thing took me about 10 minutes and the trickiest part was some sticky tape holding the GPS antenna coupling in place.

I'll do a write up tonight.
 
Pictures will be added but heres what to do if you have a GPS antenna problem in a Coupe- Mine was strangely interfering with ALL other GPS signals whilst faulty (NO GPS device would work in the car)

1. Remove the Dome light
2. Remove passenger side sun visor
3. Put fingers through dome light and unravel antenna coax coupling from tape holding it in place
4. push couple/cable out of headliner near to the innermost screw of the sun visor (the headliner is only held in place with the sun visor so this is fairly easy)
5. Pull coupling apart
6. Plug new GPS antenna in and test it works - turn key in ignition. Once tested unplug.
6. Slide old GPS antenna forward to dismount it, and pull out of the dome light hole
7. Put new GPS antenna in its place (you may need to flex the headliner near the mirror to give it room to maneuver.
8. Push cable out of back of headlining and re-couple
9. Put everything back together.

Time taken - 12 minutes.
