E85M vs E86M difference I wasn't aware of

They have different rear anti-roll bars, never knew that. Yes I am bored, stuck on a train
e85M rear arb 21.5mm http://www.bmminiparts.com/DiagramView.aspx?DiagramId=79853&MOSP=49344

eta I knew the dampers were different, and the springs were the same, but other than that I always thought they were identical, except the steering rack difference as well.

The OEM alignment is also a little different…with the roadster being a little more aggressive (strange I know).

Roadster is lighter than the hatchback.

by 10ish kgs if I've got things right. So something like 0.6 per cent....or less than one per cent, with a rigidity figure which dwarfs that with the Coupe and all in the aid of more rain.... and significantly less stiffness than in the proper car :poke:

Springs are different too.
No they're not, the dampers are though.

Same for the fronts too

..... The weight difference may be less depending on how much water is sitting in the roadster roof motor well  :poke:

You sure?
According to Gerhard Richter (R&D at M-division) in Autocar 24 May 2006 "We have stiffer springs all around, revalved shock absorbers and a thicker rear antiroll bar too. The steering has a quicker rack because we reduced the ratio from 13.7 to 12.8:1, and we altered the diff to make it turn in better."
