Have a problem with the windscreen wiper assembly on an 2003 E85. Drivers side wiper didn't move whilst out (fortunately in the dry 1/2 hour we've had in the past three weeks of rain). On removing the cover etc found the the long arm with the hole (or socket) has fallen off the short arm (with a ball). Does anyone know if the long arm ever had a retaining clip of any sort to keep it on the ball? Looked high and low in the area without any luck apart from some suspicious insulation tape signifying the previous owner of not long ago doing the botch of botches on it! Has it happened to anyone and what were their fixes or suggestions. Even looked for a complete assembly without luck. Local BMW dealer in south Bucks was no help (and seemed to take delight in not being so too). Thanks in advance.....
