E85 Third brake light Discontinued

Morning All,

Just heard back from BMW Cotswold the 3rd brake light (63256917378) is dicontinued.

Can please someone recommend the next best thing? seen lots of cheapo ones online.

Tbh, I've been using the eBay cheap ones and they actually fit pretty well. I tend to run a bead of sealant around the outer edge before I pull them down tight, as the rubber zseals look a bit flimsy and seem as though they would easily twist or kink.
 
Lol for some reason eBay third brake lights have lasted much much longer than OEM for me. So long that I'm knocking on wood that the one's I've had for 5 years now stay uncracked
 
Got one off ebay in 2019 and it's still going strong. £23 from a company called Auto Fashion in China. I think the secret is not to over tighten the fixings. The lens might not sit perfectly flush with the panel but it won't be over stressed and fracture either.
