E85 sport button

I accidentally pushed the sport button through the Center console on my Z4 and have clearly broken it.

I have been looking ever where and i can't find a spare one any where.

Has anyone had the same problem or know where i can pick one up?

Try searching eBay and Gumtree for Z4s being broken and then contact them directly to see if they have one. Most items aren't listed as it would be too much work.

Installing the replacement might not be easy as I suspect you might have to put it in from underneath, this will mean removing centre console and lots of trim.

It goes in from the top. Issue might be getting the old one out though, so will probably require the CEntre console to be removed.

you didn't broke it , it just clips in , remove trim and clip back in place

How did it happen? Did you press it too hard?

You can remove the old button by unclipping the gearstick surround, then remove the foam underneath and you can get access to the wiring underneath. I done exactly this a few weeks ago to paint the button surround. Worked a treat and saved me about 5 hours of interior dismantling.
