E85 Softop Issues

Hi Guys,

I don't think I want to hear it but I think the motor has gone in my roof...

After my Inspection II service at BMW the roof was very slow and eventually stopped working: The windows come down and the roof unclips but then nothing happens, and the red light on the console goes off. Is this the dreaded motor failure?

I've checked the fuses and they're all fine, bloody coincidence that a week after BMW serviced it this happens!!

Any insight/help greatly appreciated :)

I fear this might be the roof Will. Sorry to say!

Assume you've checked the tray in the boot to make sure it's in the right position and the red handle is inserted properly?

Where are you based out of interest as there's someone in Camberley that does these all in for £600.00. Cheaper than dealer prices!
 
Haha that's strange - I live in Camberley! What's the name of the place? I'm booked into BMW at the moment but it's going to be a fortune so a non-dealer would be great!

Yeah checked the red toggle and everything else :(

Where in Farnham are you? I have a lot of friends in Farnham and the Mrs lives in Tilford! Nice car too, always loved those wheels!!!

So, small world!

I live close to town centre actually but know the surrounding areas well. Tilford, Frensham, Rowledge etc.
I wonder whether we know any of the same people or I might recognise you!
