E85 Semi Automatic value

How much value does this add to a Zed? 10-15%?

Also, are semi autos usually more cost effective in terms of engine/gearbox maintenance? There's no clutch and dual mass flywheel to worry about. Any other advantages cost wise?

Wouldnt say it added anything ? Can be more desirable to some but off putting to others ?
If you mean SMG semi auto then at some point it would be likely to suffer a failure costing far more to fettle than a clutch & flywheel on manuals
If standard auto expect only a routine oil change of around £100 to keep it sweet , very rare to find them failing

Yeah I'm referring to SMG with flappy paddles. I assumed it would add value but looks like I was wrong. I've always preferred manuals but I like the idea of flappy paddle gear changes. I now need to outweigh the costs...

But DCT is totally different on the E89

SMG isn't 'semi automatic' , it's a manual box with an automatic clutch.

There are some problems with the system and it was not available for long on the Z4

Although it has some fans I'd say in general it will knock 10% off the value of the car.
