I use bmwautodalys.it for part searches because they’re in euros and pretty close to French prices, here’s all bmw vehicles that use 325mm 3.0si setup.kis said:I'm pretty sure the 330 gear is the same, even if realOEM says its different. Worth investigating as I'm sure si specific stuff will be somewhat rare.
I think I’ll stick to z4 subframe mate, why would i run the risk of using another models sbf?trouble is the usual breakers on here are unlikely to strip car down to sbf because you render the car Imobilesmorris_12 said:There was someone who did a whole series of measurements between subframes a few months ago. ISTR they all came out the same (but don't quote me.)
Compatible models subframe and caliper carriers I’m after, yes for a m54 3.0l kris.kis said:99% sure OP has a M54 3.0i as opposed to an si so that helps with getting a subframe. More readily available as shared with the vast majority of the e85's out there.
In regards to your screenshot OP, yes the e83 X3 share the same calliper BUT the carrier is different. So while this may seem like a cost-saving way of getting the brake set up, it then gives you an even harder task of trying to source individual carriers.

You still have family/friends here? Or purely coming for a parts-collection-run?
If you need to order stuff, can do so to my address if that helps you out at all? Also if you want just callipers I’ve got some 330 ones. Just no carriers…

I’ve not got around to it yet, still plenty of life left in my brakes, can’t you look at part number on carrriers and check with real oem?kis said:Did you sort brakes mate? I’m trying to figure out if I have a e46 or e83 carrier… bought ages ago and can’t remember! :headbang:
So if you can get some pics of the carrier it would be fab! That way I know whether to bin or keep! Thanks!
Thanks mate but I’m gonna stick to one from a e85 to be on the safe side.JiIB49 said:Got a 3.0si E86 rear sub frame if interested, needs blasting and powder coating
