E85 or E86 3.0 manual gearbox Convertible or Coupe

Hi,

I'm looking to buy an E85 3 litre or E86 2.5si/3 litre manual gearbox, Convertible or Coupe. My budget's probably a maximum of £5000 or thereabouts. If it's a convertible, then ideally it'll have a hardtop but I can always pick one of those up in the future.

I'm in south Cheshire and can travel for the right car.

I don't think you'll find a Coupe in that budget.

If you want a hardtop it might be worth looking for a car that already has one as they seem to sell for the best part of £1,000 on here.

E86 (Coupe) only comes in a 3.0Si version and you won’t get one for £5k. You won’t get a 3.0Si roadster either, although you have a good chance of getting a pre-facelift 3.0i for that money. Don’t discount the pre-facelift 2.5i which is plenty powerful and the sweet spot in terms of value, particularly if you want a hard top to go with.
