Front big brake kit using Renault Megane III RS Brembo 4-pot calipers and E46 M3 325 x 28 mm OEM 2-part discs.

Fitted to my E85 3.0i in June 2021, removed as part of selling that car. All parts were purchased new in 2021.

Best upgrade I made to my E85 - absolutely mega braking power and feel, totally consistent pedal, will take day after day of track use without complaint. Have had no issues with this setup, almost entirely used with Pagid RSL29 pads.

This setup fit without issues under a set of E90 18" Style 216 wheels (I also have 2 set of these to sell!) without requiring spacers. Cannot vouch for other wheel styles with different offset/concavity/etc. Strongly suspect 18" or larger wheels required to clear calipers.

Fitting is plug and play although standard dust shields *may* require fettling with tin snips, I removed mine before fitting this setup so cannot confirm.

Asking £1350 collected from NE Bristol (BS16) to include:

  • Calipers, purchased new from Renault UK retail parts outlet - some heat cracking of dust shields but otherwise VGC.
  • 'Mr Pink Pins' pad retaining pins which use an R-clip and make changing pads/routine maintenance a breeze.
  • Pad clips and standard pins.
  • OEM E46 M3 discs, purchased new from Cotswold BMW (currently asking £440 a set). Signs of use/surface rust but no obvious lip. Retaining screws included.
  • K-System.pro steel adapter brackets, purchased directly from manufacturer in Poland.
  • Venhill hose assemblies - great system for quickly assembling custom hoses without tooling.
  • NEW, UNUSED custom-made HEL braided hoses (I was in a hurry, these arrived too late).
  • Set of part-used Pagid RSL29 pads - these are brilliant, expensive as hell but will do 4-5 2-tanks-of-fuel track days from a set. This set probably has 3 heavy days remaining. Only issues with road use are dust and noise - very well behaved pad, works fine when cold, no issues alternating between track and road use. So impressed!
  • Further sets of more heavily used RSL29 and EBC Bluestuff pads (will confirm quantities and thickness remaining in due course).
  • Couple of sets of part-used RSL29 rear pads for good measure. These also hold up brilliantly, far more durable than Blue/Orange stuff.

I will also separately be selling a kit of parts which replaces the front foglights with air intakes, and the parts to duct this air to a set of Bimmerworld brake backing plates which connect directly to the hoses. Combined with the Brembo/E46 M3 brake setup and RSL29s, tyres, fuel and driver fatigue became the only limiting factors on track!

Will update with photos of the removed parts once I've cleaned them up a bit. Photos below are mostly as-fitted.
