E85 key won't program.

Anyone good on keys?

I've got one original and one replacement. The replacement starts the car but I can't get the remote functions to work. I've opened it to check that it has electronic s and a battery, charged the battery on my electric toothbrush charger, stuck it in the ignition and switched it to position 1 the required number of times, sworn loudly, extolled it to "work damn you work!" I've even stroked it and told it that it is my favorite key and the other means nothing to me. Nothing doing.

Any ideas? The online instructions don't seem to work.

You do have to do the synch of both keys straight after eachother within a very short timeframe.

Does reprogramming your least favourite key (the working one) work for you where it locks the door and the end of the programming?

Also you have to have the doors closed when doing it
