E85 key fob battery

It's a pita to be honest as key is sealed, so you need to cut it. Then solder in new battery . Battery's are on fleabay, and you tube should show you how to do it.
Alternatively, there's a couple of guys on eBay who will provide a new key coded etc to the car. I think one is in St. Helens.

You could try placing it on a toothbrush charger (induction) overnight. Did that with my 04 reg dead key, it was nice & warm in the morning & has been fine since.

.I had to reprogramme both my keys after the recharge of the dead one. I used method 2 on here:

Listing states compatible with Z4 - 2003-2005, so I am assuming pre-facelift? What you did only works to resync the remote, you can't program immobiliser transponders without the proper diagnostic kit

I didnt feel safe sending my key off to some internet bloke with the address where my new baby resides lol

As above was worried about my keys with someone but my garage isn't next to my house
Plus after a long chat on phone he calmed me
