Gents,

has anyone removed our instrument cluster?

I have some stains from chemical cleaning of the car inside the plastic cover of instrument gauges, and I wish to remove it and try to open and clean it.

Has anyone done a similar thing?

Thanks!

One Philips screw top centre, then it just pops out, mind the connector on the back.

I took mine out when I changed over the steering wheel & when I fitted cruise control. It's very easy to do, and interesting to see what lurks behind the instrument cluster, for me it was largely dust!

Thank you gents for the help! :) So I don't have to remove the steering wheel? That was something I was afraid I have to do it. :(

No, just pull the steering wheel forward and down to get the most access.
There is one plug at the back which has a lever lock on it so a little bit of dexterity is needed, but not that much.

Find it mate, I did it, it was easy, no to disassemble everything and clean it. :) Cheers!

I replaced the LEDS on my cluster. Very easy to take out.
Tried the tail light LEDs yet?

No, what were you thinking of? Repairing or modifying?
Repairs, if you've done the instruments then might be worth looking at a broken set. I don't think anyone has done a successful repair yet

Has anyone been able to get the rear lights apart?
Soldering is relatively easy but identifying the components can be tricky.

Thanks for the help gents, I managed everything, the only thing I had to buy Torax T9 as I didn't have it at home.

Cleaned everything and it is like new. :)
