Hello all, just some information for anyone looking to work with INPA on their Z4.

I have the OneStopElectronics K + DCAN USB Interface (INPA Compatible) OBD lead for diagnosis / coding. I have previous experience of setting up INPA and NCS to diagnose / code my old E92.

I installed INPA 5.06 and was trying to use it with SP-DATEN 50.2

When the laptop was connected to the car, the battery and ignition indications on the front INPA menu were working fine.

I could talk to the DME module OK but when I tried to talk to any other module / ECU, I received a dialogue box - IFH0009 Error: SG is not connected or not found.

After many wasted hours, it appears that there is some issue with pins 7 and 8 being bridged or not in the OBD head. The Onestop electronics OBD head came with an adapter. I have never used it and had no idea what it is for . . .until today.

When I connected the adapter you can see above on the end of the OBD head, I was able to communicate fine. I imagine this adapter must be bridging / unbridging pins 7 and 8. I have never needed to use this adapter before when working on E87 or E92.
