E85 headlight mounting adjustment?

Hi guys,

Just picked up a 3.0i e85 and my offside headlamp seems to sit a bit further in towards the body than the other side.

Is it possible to adjust this? If so how do I go about it?

Just to be clear, I'm talking about the physical location of it, not the beam adjustment.

have to replace my driver side xenon ballast and not lookin forwards to this. sounds like a total faff.
Post some pics up etc on completion buddy, for the benefit of others etc... :thumbsup:
 
The key to adjustment is to work to the cross where headlight, bonnet, wing and bumper all meet. Start by getting that gap correct to the 2 fixed points of bonnet and wing. Once you have the cross point correct then align along the leading edge of the wing and get that gap correct and a smooth flow from light to wing.
Keep the 4 lug fixing slide loose and you'll soon see how the adjustment is controlled largely by the single fixing on the outer edge corner fixing with the sliding tube and washer.
If you get the above correct the bumper will be perfect first time

No worries - had the lights and bumper off too many times over a decade of ownership

Should have added the only adjustment on the bumper is the bonnet gap. Do that last by adjusting the torx across the top edge of the bumper to get an equal gap

Think I have to do mine too. One of mine isn't auto levelling anymore!
