E85 facelift headlight and E86 headlight compatibility

Hi All,

In my quest to find a Xenon headlight for my E86 car, I have come across an E85 facelift xenon headlight.

My question to you is, will a facelift E85 Xenon be a match with my E86 Xenon car?

I have tried calling BMW and they couldn't help much unless I shared chassis numbers of both cars, I also couldn't find much in the site's archives or the internet in general, so I figured if anyone knows, it will be on this forum :-).

There exactly the same. Just make sure the e85 light has a silver inner to match yours on the 86. All e86 are silver but some e85 have black on 2.0 and 2.5 models etc
 
The only thing I've noticed is that the texture of the silver insets can differ. On my coupe, the headlight inserts are quite textured. I compared them to Marlon's facelift roadster and his are much smoother. Not sure if it's a random thing or whether it's a difference between coupes and roadsters generally. Both cars are 2008 models.

Thank you for all your guidance. I know inner rings of the part are silver, but 'll double check the texture as you have a point there.
