Long shot, I know......

Does anyone have a spare harness that goes from the right hand steering wheel controls to the clock spring ( its about six inches long with 3 wires and a white plug on one end and a deep red plug on the other) & also the trim that goes around the audio control on the right hand too. Trying to convert a non audio wheel to an audio control wheel. I have some damaged parts and some missing.

Hoping someone has a scrap steering wheel that can support

Thanks

You'll be lucky to source these parts. The trims are very expensive new and are usually sold with the buttons when second hand.

I made up a mfsw cable for a fellow member using second hand connectors and it cost £20 for the parts alone. The red connectors, generally on the Z4, are usually very hard to find and quite expensive when you do. I had no luck at the dealership trying to buy new.

My advice would be to use generic BMW blue/black connectors and cut the key locating tab off. The difference between the red/blue/white/black connectors is the position of the key locating tab so they don't get put in the wrong position.

Thanks

Think I may have to sacrifice my standard MFSW to upgrade the cheap M one. At least I have the bottom M trim so it’s not a big issue.
