OK, I'll bite..................... why?
Most likely it has a full cage, they are more likely to cause harm active that inactive. He might of course be planning to drive into a wall and not survive, who knows.

This is a bit of an unnecessary comment really, I don't recall him asking about the impact on his insurance ffs. Maybe consider that it might not be a road car.

Hi,

I want to deactivate all the airbags in my Z4 E85.

Is this possible via cable or by removing fuses?

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the side bags as I'm leaving them (I have a half cage) but I have found I was unable to code the steering wheel bag out in ncs and in the end required resistors to remove the dash light.
If you're not worried about any airbag dash lights then removing the main airbag controller module that I think is behind the handbrake iirc might be the easiest. I'm not sure there's a fuse to pull for it. I'd imagine you can remove that airbag module from the VO to stop any error codes/lights if you're bothered.

Wow, have you had your pills today :)

Considering the IP's last post was around how to add ipod & Aux wiring to his car in May this year, I wouldn't have thought he was then converting it to a full roll cage track car :poke:

More likely he has a airbag issues and wants to switch them off, which will invalidate his insurance - Now go and take your pills

Righto, don't realise reading a poster's history was a prerequisite for replying to a question in some kind of constructive manner.
Off to take my pills and get back to the world where some people have things to do :)
