E85 Boot spoiler

I’v just bought a boot spoiler to have painted when I have the front done in a couple of weeks.

Could some kind person who already has one fitted tell me if it has to line up with the top crease of the boot lid or does it have to come forward slightly? Any close up pics would be a help.

I got it off eBay, £80 from Poland, wasn’t expecting much but it’s actually good quality.

This is it, it’s fibreglass. I was worried wether the quality was going to be any good for the price, but I have worked with fibreglass most of my working life so wouldn’t be a problem to put right, but it’s fine, nothing to do, just prep for paint.

Are these bonded then not bolted? If bonded do you need to rub down the paint to metal to get sufficient adhesion?

Straight onto clean paintwork.
This is what I bonded it on with, the guy who did my painting gave it me.

Finally fitted my rear spoiler today, hope it holds
Marking position on boot.



Hope I have put enough adhesive on.




Placed on boot and held down with plenty of masking tape and gaffa tape.





This is what I used to bond it on.
