I reckon satin black may not have been such a shiny contrast to the roof? Maybe blended in better.
But it's not my car.................... :wink:
And it could just be the artificial light making it stand out.

I looked at the matte black but it was too dull and so got the gloss which matches the lower front bumper wrap but it is the artificial light - just added another two images on the first post

Just added one more and no worries at all - all opinions count Obviously when the roof is down it will still have that nice black A pillar like the E89

I think the difference with the E89 is the coloured roof. With the E85 its a similar issue to having black wheels on a black car. On them the tyres can look grey and spoil the effect. Same with the roof on the E85. but with the roof down................... excellent look.

Not always It was the full black roofs that made me want to do it

Same has been done to my Zed by one of the previous owners. Kind of like it but then again kind of not. It is starting to peel off also..

I used to like the black A frame on my old J-Limited 2 Eunos as well. Yellow framed windscreens (with yellow body shells) seemed less good looking I used to - and still do - think.
