Apologies if this has been done before but what exhaust to fit to 3.0 Sport E85? I'm after a sporty note BUT not too loud, quite like the odd snap crackle and pop of over fuelling but dunner like drone in the cab.

Looking up options I seem to have a couple of favourites, the top two;

1. Eisenmann Sport  (assume race will be too load for road car)
2. Remus
3. Magnaflow
4. Rowen?
5. Stebro?
6. Schmeidmann???

7. scorpion - no to E85
8. Jet ex - ditto
9. Milltek - no
10. Magnex - no

11. AC Schnitzer is a rebadged Remus from what I'm told?

Any more?

Is there a recognised best here or is it simply personal choice?

Now an interesting find this eve is Longlife stainless steel exhausts in Birmingham (Steve, Roar Power Limited). He offers a T304 Stainlesss steel hand made full system for the E85 3.0 at £525 incl vat and fitting - yes a full system...... I've just sent him an enquiry and whether I can hear one in the flesh.

Sounds good, good, great, even unbelievable value, T304 stainless and lifetime warranty; if I can hear one and it sounds good then this might be worth a go? :driving:

Any thoughts?

Cheers

The muffler delete and resonator replaced with a magnaflow muffler has a nice throaty sound while accelerating with a crackle when letting off the gas on an M54, and is a cheap mod.

Thanks for that, a good option. One of the Yanky posts states "NICE! Dude that sounds so sick! I'm glad you found something you like man."

Not too promising as it sounds "sick"

Any suppliers do this option - one for MachineMonkey?

A full system from Longlife in my experience means their loudest system, ie. delete back box and resonators maybe replacing them with a small muffler, I would imagine that's gonna be...LOUD! Would be interested to hear though :)

Not car related but I didn't realize that you were a Villa fan
I lived in Erdington and Aldridge and my dad grew up in Aston
I am actually in Canada and watched the Villa every home match at the Holte end with my dad from 5 years old until 14 years old when we moved to Canada
I still follow them closely and never miss a match when it's on tele over here.

dbarton, it's a difficult time being a Villa supporter - watching some games I'd gladly swap places with you and move to Canada to get away from them at the minute! Thoroughly frustrating; some games they are great - Liverpool away a few weeks ago was the best I've seen for years (2-2), mostly they are poor

Home form is rubbish - only Fulham have less points on their own turf. Can't keep the ball, can't unlock teams that defend and simply rely on hitting teams on the break. However, as we can't defend, we have to score at least 3 every game if we are going to win as we always leak a couple of goals. :headbang: :headbang:

Still, about taking the rough with the smooth - it's hard work at the minute but things might change with 6 new top level signings; that will be £120 million pounds sir!

Rumours Red Bull looking for a premiership club - no doubt Villa Park will become Red Bull Racing Stadium of Speed or similar but it will always be Villa Park so who cares as long as they give £120 million for 6 new signings.

Slightly off piste for forum but worth it for a fellow Villian. I bet you're gutted having moved from Erdington / Aldridge to Canada

Pop over and I'll get you a ticket????

AndyBeech,
Thanks for post, agree with you it might be a tad loud but as you say will be interesting to hear. The delete back box option is worth a look as this might not be as loud as you think from what I've read.

More consideration required, options options but mustn't get it wrong with a "Peco" drone!

Thx

I quite fancy this, slight concern it may drone in the cab but the roofs usually off even during our winter / crap weather. This is a good option, thanks dbarton 8)

Latest offer sounds good to go; local company known to me and with a v.good reputation offering a bespoke 2" T304 stainless steel cat back system. They can offer varying noise options depending on personal choice but what attracts me is the option to have outlets on both sides like the Z4M; balancer box in the middle and then two back boxes each with twin staggered tailpipes. Approx value around £700 fitted, to be confirmed when spec agreed.

Expected to be mild sport sort of set up, relatively quiet when not pressing the right pedal but sufficiently tasty when you do! 2" diameter pipe for standard engine said to be good for torque, going too big a diameter adversely affects the torque I'm told.

Now here's the interesting bit. Standard Si bumper obviously has one single outlet on the near side meaning I need to either buy a Z4M bumper (too expensive and can't find one!) and have it painted or cut my existing bumper. The latter sounds a bit iffy but I'm assured it can be done neatly. But here's the problem, it will not match the other original side as that has a formed lip. Question; will it be noticed as the twin tail pipes will be the focal point? I could cut the original side to match the new side or get a paint shop to form an edge and blow it in?

Any others done this "mod" (or should I say "hack") to the rear bumper?  ?

Thanks :driving:
