E85 2.2i - Worth?

Looks quite tidy from those pics, I’d say the price is about right. Have you tried to haggle? There may be a little wiggle room. :?

Thanks Smartbear. I have, was able to bring it down to 2.6k. Going to see it today, might be joining as a permanent member soon. :D

If you can get it for £2600, I think,as long as all the usual mechanical once over's and history, etc check out okay,it's a no brainer for the money,Winn

Thank you all. I saw the car today and everything checked out. Managed to bring the price down to £2.550. Always dreamt to own a z4 one day, this is the day and am loving it!

Another 50 quid off .. talk about a kick in the bollocks  you did well :D

Welcome to the forum, and Z4 ownership all in the same day!

And it looks like you have found a great example for a good price.

The current market is very strange..a friend of mine picked one of those that was an MOT failure (needed calipers freeing and new pads) for £180 including delivery to his door, that was in 2019..took about £500 to turn it into quite a good one..go figure..

That's not to poo poo your purchase, I'm sure it will give much joy! :driving:

Thanks all, glad to be part of such awesome community. Time to start digging and educate myself. Might have a look at your rides, hope that’s ok. :driving:

Just be warned, the more you look the more things you realise you absolutely have to have. That money you knocked off the purchase will soon go!
(With the first purchase having to be a proper whippy aerial obviously. :poke: :D )

You are so right. I started learning how to check things, then bought an OBD2 scanner, then got to look at what else can be improved lol.

One of the tyres must’ve been low in pressure or something

OP, a man after my own heart

You’ve done well getting a nice issue free car at that money. I hope you enjoy many happy miles in it

In all fairness, he forgot to mention a cracked front bumper lower grill

Welcome to the forum- cracking looking motor there bud

And if that’s your surname (Winn) then snap!

Congrats on your new Zed, a really good price for the condition and history. I think the 2.2 is an underestimated engine. Get them past 3K revs and they come to life. I bought my first Zed, also a 2.2 in February this year £4K, 78K miles and extensive BMW history. For some reason I just kept looking at other Zeds for sale and came across a 2007 2.5si at a great price so bought that also. Managed to sell the 2.2 in 36 hours at almost the price I paid for it and kept the hardtop. You'll have great fun.
