Hi All,
I cannot seem to find a definitive answer, but I have the S676 10 speaker upgrade on my z4 and want to fit an aftermarket headnunit.
Theres alot of talk around that it doesn't work if you have either of the speaker upgrades, however my car has an old fashioned parrot kit fitted which when using bluetooth audio seems to work fine, and I assume this is wired in with a generic z4 SOT lead with an ISO plug on the end (So in theory the same as plugging in an aftermarket headunit except its piggybacking off the loom rather than plugging directly in). I am very tempted to buy/borrow the cheapested headunit I can find, buy a loom and test if it works, but can anyone confirm if my theory is correct?
Also, I do not seem to have any sound coming out of the speakers in the drivers door at all. Is it likely to be blown speakers or more likely the amp dying?
Cheers
Stephen
