E46 seats

Hi all, has anyone fitted or know if the e46 seats out of a convertible fit the z4 e85.
Bit like everyone else looking to upgrade seats. I have read that the ones out of a e46 tourer fit. Any info much appreciated

I haven't heard of anyone looking to upgrade seats from different cars in the BMW lineup, the most common way of changing would be to change from the Z4 SE seats to the sport seats that are an option.

In terms of E46 seats, if the touring ones fit then the convertible/coupe/saloon ones will fit as they all mount at the same point on the body. If you did want a proper upgrade over the seats you get in a Z4 though, I'd probably look to the M3 as seats out of a standard E46 probably aren't much better than what you have in the E85!

I had a Sport model E46 Compact so it came with M-Sport seats which I really liked - I'm pretty sure they would be much better than the Standard Z4 seats and because it was a Compact there was somewhere to hook the seat-belt over.

Ive heard convertible ones don't fit, can't remember why though.......

Glad you mentioned the e46 compact. There is, a bmw breakers near me got some in.

Just to be clear I've never fitted E46 seats to a Z4 as all of mine came with M-Sport seats.

But I'm sure people have fitted E46 M3 seats so I can't see why Compact ones wouldn't fit, and they'd probably be cheaper than M3 ones!
