Hi all,
New owner here - picked up my facelift E85 Z4 3.0si earlier this week.
Currently has 108's fitted, I like them, but always wanted a Z4 sitting on either Style 224 (Z4M) wheels or Style 67 (E46 M3) wheels.
Have done my research and looked at various posts on this forum for both wheels mentioned above.
Front wheels of both fit no issue, it is the rears.
It seems that you can run the 224 wheels ok on a non-M, if using the OE (not M) tyre sizes (i.e. 225/40 front & 255/35 rear).
Preferably, I would actually like to run Style 67 18" wheels from an E46 M3. Fronts will fit fine, issue is the rears. Compared to a 224 wheel, the only difference is the 224 rear wheel is ET30 and the 67 is ET26, so sticks out 4mm further.
I know it is only 4mm, but given the 224 wheel apparently only just fits in the arch/is flush with the arch, will the 67 wheels actually be ok? I plan on using OE 3.0si tyres (225/40 & 255/35).
As I say, I have already researched this, and found some feedback and pictures of the Z4 on both 224 & 67 wheels, but unclear whether the latter are ok or not, and with what tyre sizes.
Bear in mind, my car will be getting Eibach springs fitted too.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
