YES they do

framerails fits perfectly, electrical wiring fits perfectly (came from manual heated seats, now having memory heated seats)

the seats itself sits flush against the middel tunnel (don't know how you guys call it).

my car is a dec 2002 2.5i

pics or it didn't happen:

next up is the M3 m-sport steering wheel which was included in the sale , let's see if i get the multifunction buttons to work

Looks great!
Interested in putting some Oregon beige M3 seats in mine to replace the crapppy non-sport ones.
How long did it take you and any issues during conversion?

have you still got the old red seats for sale?

how do the M3 compare by the way?. I found the Si sports seats shake/creak a little on hard conering. The M3 seats looks more padded/supported or are they more or less the same?. Hard finding just 2 front E46 m3 seats i bet.

Do the inflating bolsters still function? I'm guessing they will as the control and pump are all contained within the seat.

Yeah £1000 to you :D

Now THAT is interesting...

Wasn't the consensus that E46 seats wouldn't fit?

I bet the M3 seats are comfier than the Si seats, they look more padded...

Looks like I'll be on the hunt for some, as along with the steering wheel (Royals refurb getting ordered later) the std elec seats in mine are the only other things I need to change to make it purr-fect!

about an hour, coffee included.

only issue is the seatbelt mount, which you have to make one (i did bend my mount in a 90 degree angle & mounted it onder the seat to the floor)

i have the old seats for sale, but i am in the netherlands, if that matters for you

i have no info on the Z4 sport seats, from what i can see on the interwebs, the Z4 sport seats are smaller & thinner, but at least or even better supportive then the m3 seats. M3 seats are more comfortable then the standard Z4 seats, & way better for my back.

i made a good deal on the 2 front seats + steering wheel from an M3 which was build to race spec. gotta be lucky sometimes

The pump and all the pipe work is located behind the back panel of the seat and the controls for inflating and deflating the bolsters should on the front corner of plastic trim in front of the electric seat buttons and is the round button in this pic

?? Did the M3 seats not have seat belt buckles attached? I ask as the ones I have seen do have them, or is it a different buckle?

If you look at the OP's pic, his seat doesn't have that button.

I see, seems to be a blanking plate instead. I assumed the inflating bolsters were standard on the e46 M3 as every one I looked at when buying one had them.

Nope they were an option, most did choose it though :)

No, i believe (not sure) they are mounted to the floor of the M3. The rails is the same, the mount which is attached to the rails of the Z4 is not removable

The Z4 sports seats are more based on the e90 shape of seat which I find to be far more comfortable. I had e46 sports seats which are the same as M3 without the shoulder bolsters and I found them too wide and lacking lumbar support. Our e91 has a similar shape seat to the Z4 without the shoulder bolsters but I do miss them as they provide a noticeable extra amount of support.

In a nutshell M3 seats are nice but not as good in my opinion.
