E36 Vader seats?

As per title, anyone considered fitting these?

Will they fit?

Since E36/E46 should be interchangeable seat wise (correct me if I'm wrong), and E46/E85 fit as well, would it work?

I've read somewhere these are relatively rare but they are much more common than Z4 Msport seats for me!

Seen these going for £1,000 a set. Depends on condition. Plus you'll usually be buying a set of back seats into the bargain....

I'd go aftermarket if i was choosing beyond the M-Sport seats.

EDIT - Scratch that, i'd go e89. Can't believe how cheap their seats are used!

I’ve seen a couple of pictures of Z4s with Vaders fitted

Terrible quality photo, I know.... but there are more out there.

It’s kinda annoying as I let a pair of Vaders go when I sold my e36 convertible

I’ve been considering some Recaro SR6 or SR7 for my Z4, but I’ve started to rethink whether or not to look for vaders again

I must be bad at searching I failed to find any pics of them in a Z!

Did you find them to be good seats comfort and support wise in your e36??

I don’t remember them being spectacular seats in terms of comfort or support, but I’d gotten used to sitting in the E36 sport seats which were a massive improvement over the basic non-sport seats. I specifically remember being impressed by those and considered them one of the best upgrades I had done.

The main difference between those 5 point adjustable sport seats and the Vaders is the headrest, which looked cool but didn’t make much difference.

Going from a non-supportive seat to Vader’s would be a noticeable difference for sure.

Two things stand out though:
- Some people who are tall and have a large frame body find Vader’s to be a squeeze.... I’m a relatively skinny bloke so no worries for me
- getting in and out of a car with Vaders is hindered slightly by how far the side bolsters stick out.... with the lower position of the Z4, I’d imagine getting out would be even more tricky

Oh, and I saw some other pics of Vaders in a Z in one of the Facebook groups just the other day.... I’ll see if I can track them down again and post them here

I too am of the skinnier variety so I don't see that being an issue haha. The headrest does look cool and I imagine the shoulder area would get a little more support?

Some more pics would be great to see how they look and if they suit visually. As vain as it sounds, let's be real guys - it's gotta look cool too 8)

I'm actually not too annoyed by my standard seats now after I pumped up the side bolsters.

Basically pulled the back out and shoved filling into the bolster cushions to bring them out. Then I slackened the lumbar spring/bar a bit so i would sink in a bit more. Made a huuuge difference in holding. I haven't done the same to the passenger side so when I compare between them it's day and night.

A quick search located these....
