That's why I use the Holts stuff, it's washed out with warm water. The stuff supplied by Renault for use with their compressor is a laytex based substance which seals very effectively but can't be removed easily. The Holts stuff is not as reliable as a sealer but easily removed, that's why I carry a small compressor to top up as well.

That's good to know - I bought 2 cans of Holts!

Does anybody know or had any experiences with gunk v tpms sensors ?

Your Z4 has a flat tyre sensor. Well, it senses the rotational speed of each wheel and compares all 4. If one is consistently running faster due to a smaller diameter, then is is going flat.

Don't think it works that way on models after 2014 & the gunk / foam kits once used must surely wreck the £40/£50 tyre valves that are now used to sense a loss of pressure :?

That’s my fear - there must be small bleed holes to reach the sensor and I dont think there are many tyre fitters I would trust to fiddle about with them. It seems you can’t win. I think I will just continue to carry the compressor and run for Home in hops if I puncture.

We are talking about the E85 runflats here on this post........ I don't think E85's were sold new in 2014 :?

E85/E86 tyre deflation system relies on the ABS/DSC system detecting a deflating wheel rotating faster than the others. There is nothing extra inside the wheel.
