Dunlop Tyres on the Z4

Evening all

As mentioned on a earlier post, I am able to get a good deal on Dunlop tyres. (60% Discount)

I currently have 16" run flats and after today’s performance in the snow, I don’t have much confidence in them - was looking to change them anyway as the fronts are a little worn.

Can anyone give me feedback on Dunlop tyres fitted to the Z4? If they are crap then there is no point changing no matter how cheap they are.

Falkons or Avons would be my other options but I wouldn’t be able to get them any cheaper than web prices.

If it's winter tyres then Dunlop WinterSports will grip much better than any all-season or summer tyre. At less than half price it would seem silly not to buy them - although ultimate grip in temps above 6 degrees C will not be as good. Depends how hard & fast you like to drive them in the snow, ice & rain.

If it's just for all-season driving then the Dunlop SP Sport 01 is not bad.

I'd stay clear of Avons unless you're buying their race/trackday tyres.

These would be all season tyres, i dont drive hard or fast (often).

So you think the Dunlop Sport 01's would be ok?

I had Avons on my TT and though they were ok for the price.

If you thought the Avons were okay then you'll find the Dunlops wonderful :driving:

Plus you'll be getting the Dunlops at about half the price of the Avons.
 
I was thinking of trying a set of Dunlop DZ03-G's for my next track day. Anybody tried them or the earlier DZ02 etc?
