Hi

Question how do you know when DTC is active???

I been on ice few weeks ago and my DTC light flash on the console as my back wheel skidded does that me it was active ?

That means it was taking corrector measures to keep you out of a ditch

The way I see it, the system is always active, but you only see the lights flash when it's taking action to help the driver out...

It is off then the yellow light is on constantly on the dash telling you the system is not working giving a warning. It will flicker when you loose traction meaning its working.

On non ///M cars there's half way house. Push the button once and DTC will be show. This will allow you to loose traction and get the rear end sliding a little. If it goes too far, the computer gizmoes will help you out.

Push DSC button and hold. Two yellow lights will display. At this point all driver aids are off. Not advised unless you're in a wide open space....
