Hi all,

Trying to connect a dsp converter, confused!

Here's the information.

03 z4
Dsp amp
Cd changer
Navigation

Mediabridge with blitzaudio dsp converter.

Media bridge is fed in the car, just want to wire up the converter to the car and mediabridge.

The converter has a ground, live wires with the coax and connecter for the mediabridge.

I have found this pin out for the ground and 12v live, is this diagram correct to z4?

Thanks

chances are you don't need a dsp converter.
Check in the boot at your amp. In the middle on the side where the connectors (and fuse) are there is a small coax connector. If there isn't a wire going into that connector you don't need the dsp converter and the mediabridge hooks up directly to the cd changer leads.
You can also see it on the cd changer side. The cd changer has the exact small coax output. If there isnt a wire going to that (so you have the normal 2 connector blocks to the changer), you don't need the dsp converter.

Maybe you can post some pictures of your situation. Your info in your post is somewhat limited....

Sorry will update when possible. Currently in work on my phone!

From memory, no coax connected to amp nor cd changer.

If there isnt a small coax lead, it's an analog connection (I have the same in my z4 with dsp hifi)
Then it should hook up to the mediabridge directly (I dont have the mediabridge but a similar device, and I can just plug in both connectors: one is for the ibus controls and the other one is for the audiosignal)

Connected and working, however the subs aren't working and sounds bit tinny. The dsp options do change sound however still rubbish. Very tinny. Go back to cd player or radio, no problem there; all normal. Will try the USB next, just in case it is my phone.

That's the device I have.
