DSP + CDC Preparation Bluetooth Module

Hi all,

Some of you may have seen I was after a Z4MC recently... Happy to report I found the one, which happens to have all the goodies bar extended leather.

My previous 2 Zeds only had the standard 'Professional' 6-speaker stereo and CDC prep - which made fitting a GROM/BlueAudio Bluetooth adapter really straight forward. Now the new E86 has DSP (S677) and CDC Prep (S692) and I cannot for the life of me find the cables for the CDC so I can connect a Bluetooth module to them.

I have found many posts about this and from what I understand later cars (including all facelift) don't have coaxial cables, so I shouldn't need an adaptor, but I am unsure about this. May I ask those of you who have done this for some light, please?

The car does have an iPod cable linked to the back of the radio as well - assuming this is aftermarket too.

Some photos that may help you help me:

Bump for visibility. Hoping someone can help - would love to see if the DSP is an improvement over the standard hi-fi (I don't have CDs).

Gotta just feel around, i would expect it to be behind the amplifier, which would make it a bit annoying. Mine was hidden in there, but was easier to feel around as my amplifier is near the battery.

If it has CDC prep, the loom should be there.

Ended up removing the boot trim so I could see things better and eventually found it taped to the side in that cavity you highlighted. Thanks for the confirmation it should be there somewhere, was dreading removing the boot trim to find nothing.

For posteriority, I can confirm facelift Z4 with DSP does not need a coaxial cable adaptor. Bluetooth is working perfectly.
