dsc + handbrake light orange

had a bit of a thing yesterday where the handbrake light and dsc light came on. the dash beeped and they came on orange. i was in kingswinford birmingham, so just ignored it unitl i stopped at the m6 services just before the toll rejoins. they went off after the car was restarted but came on about 20 mins later. not been on today.

i read about that it might be a speed sensor or some hydraulic thingy on the rear wheels. any ideas or has this happened to anyone else?

Could be a Brake fluid pressure sensor. There are two mounted on the servo manifold Had this a couple of months ago.

thanks, did that put both the lights on? It was mentioned to me when i had the clutch done that a rubber brake hose (the one that connects the inlet manifold to the rigid pipe coming from the servo) looked like it had collapsed a little and was miss shaped. maybe this is worse ill have a look brakes are kinda useful.

its not happened since.

Ths seems to be a common fault and invariably turns out to be one of the two sensors located off the servo - happened to mine at 28k miles ( 2004 SE ) - was the sensor nearest the bulkhead - both lights on and that dreaded ping - had the one sensor replaced ( cost £160 ) - everything fine now

My previous zed ( 2003 SE ) had similar lights come on intermittently but finally went off and did not return so you may be lucky.

Hi mine came on over the weekend and has stayed on since. The code reader says that sensor 1 & 2 are faulty.I have picked them up today and aim to fit them Wednesday evening. Fingers crossed. Will update once fitted

Both sensors replaced today,brakes bled,fault codes erased and all is well again
