DSC/DTC Defective

I have the warning (!) light and the DSC disabled light appear today. Looked it up and it said that the system is defective and to take it for inspection immediately.

The only thing I can think of is that the car bottomed out pretty bad earlier, very low speed when reversing over a rise and then a dip. But drove fine, didn’t get the error lights until I started up again. Might be a complete coincidence though.

Is there anything I can do or check? Has anyone else had this?

It'll clear itself out after a few drives. My 2003 used to do that after a bit of spirited driving, I guess the computer can get overwhelmed sometimes. You can turn it off by holding the button for 3 seconds, drive around the neighborhood, stop, push the button to turn it back on, and if that doesn't work park the car, turn it off, wait a minute, turn it back on and drive around a little. The other thing you can try doing is resetting the tire pressure monitor buy turning the key to position 2 (on but without motor running), press and hold the pressure monitor reset button (light will come on in dash), then start the car and drive off, then after a few minutes the pressure monitor light will go out and you should be in good shape. If it is still on after all that and a couple of cycles of the engine (off and on and off and on) then there is probably a sensor that got damaged and needs replacement and the dealer can do that for you.

Oh, yea, almost forgot to mention that it'd be a good idea to check the pressure of all 4 tires before resetting the monitor :D
