DSC and Brake warning lights, Code 5E19, Limp mode

Afternoon all,
On my way to work this morning, went to accelerate hard out of a roundabout and the car aggressively cuts the engine power. Initially I thought it was just the traction control reeling in my overenthusiastic driving but the lights stayed on and the power didn't return.

Switching off the engine and restarting would get rid of the lights and things were back to normal for a few hundred metres. I did this a couple of times, the second time the lights stayed out.
On my way home it happened again. This time I drove for a couple of miles in limp mode to get home.

Symptoms:
Limp mode
DSC light and Brake warning light on
Code 5E19 present

I have scanned the DSC as well as running some basic tests. The pump motor spins up when commanded via ISTA so I am not suspecting pump failure.
What else should I be checking?
Has anyone else had similar issues?

I am very upset for my little car :( Hoping for a fairly simple fix!

I have had similar on my old e46 330,
When i first bought it driving home thought i would see how it moved, ended up over reving and stayed in the red line too long.
Car went into limp mode thought i had blow her up never experienced it before, but after driving about 5 slow careful miles home it righted itself.
Just wondering if yours may need more time ,distance to recalibrate and return to normal.
I am in no way advising you to drive your car if you think it had a serious fault as i am no expert.
Just commenting on my experience after i was too heavy footed and over reved as you may well have also done.
Just something for you to ponder

Thanks for the reply sw4nny.

I thought it might just be a case of confusing the DSC module but the car has now covered atleast 50 miles with the issue presenting itself on random occasions. There is certainly something wrong here.
I must say that my car visits the upper end of its tachometer regularly and this has never happened before, even when the limiter has kicked in occasionally.
It can happen when hot, cold, slow, fast but it does always seem to happen when accelerating (even gently).

What I have done is clean all the wheel speed sensors. One did seem particularly dirty and that could plausibly cause this sort of problem.
I haven't covered enough miles to call it fixed yet but will report back with good or bad news!

In the meanwhile if anyone has any other suggestions for me to look into, I am all ears.

On a side note, I did snap one of the rusted fasteners on the front left wheel speed sensor. I gave it the best chance but despite lots of penetrating oil, and time, it snapped as soon as any torque was applied. I have drilled out many snapped fasteners before but this one is in a sh*tty place, any advice (or pity) is very welcome :)

Just for reference, we are talking about this guy here. Number 6.
I don't fancy removing the whole knuckle so if i could drill it out in place and blow the swarf out of the reluctor area that would be ideal.
