drumming noise form Nearside rear when turning

Hi,

I have had an issue for a few weeks which doesnt seem to affect the car when travelling straight ahead at normal speeds, but when going around roundabouts in 1st or 2nd gear and accelerating, I get which i can only describe as a drumming or damping vibration from the nearside rear. When turning right at the same speed and gears it is fine and dont get the issue.

When driving at normal speeds, get no issues. I am not sure if it is the rear shock absorber which is finally failing (cant see any leaks) but they are nearly 20 years old. The rear anti roll bar bushes and drop links havent been changed but seem tight and solid. The rear wheel bearing is tight and appears to be no issues there.

Has anyone else had any issue like this before? I tried to get a video recording but doesnt make a noise, more of a vibration.

Not sure what your issue could be, but if you're waiting for an oil leak to signal your shock absorber is dead then you may have a long wait. If it's done over 50k it's past it's best tbh. It is the gas that escapes.
Regardless, I think I'd be looking at new rear shocks anyway. Only takes about half an hour per side to change them.

Any movement in the driveshaft?
Also have you had a pry bar in the rear trailing arm bush and rear arm bushes?

Car has done 130K so think so well overdue. Car doesn't sag or handled particularly bad but I think they may have lost their 'shock'

There appears to be minimal end movement in shaft and all trailing arm bushes are solid and tight. They dont appear to be that old, although I haven't any receipts for these in the folder I got with the car to show they have been done.
