Driving Experience in Suffolk Area?

So my Dad is coming to town and after seeing some prices I figured it'd be awesome if we could get some experience days in some exotic sports cars. So far the nicest looking one that I've found was Driving Experience Direct which is approx 2 hours from me. Can anyone give any other recommendations? I'm searching on Pistonheads too, just wanted to see what ya'll would recommend.
*edit* Also does anyone know if there is anything such as dogfighting in airplanes that is available here in the UK?

Other than a few 4x4 courses I can't think of anything in the Suffolk area. There's a good experience near Bedford though. Did this about 8 years ago but looks like they still have some pretty specced motors.

Or this site has some good SE England options too.

...then there's always the max-fun Snetterton!

For a white knuckle ride of death I could let your dad have a ride to the train station with my wife driving.
Would of course give a massive discount for a forum member :driving:

Thumbs up for the Palmer sport day, if you can afford to spend that much your Dad will love you for it! It's about 7 cars if I remember correctly, and they've recently changed the Jags (which I didn't really like that much) for E90 M3's in a touring car type spec.

Wait I thought my dad was paying for me?! That does sound nice, a bit too far out of my pockets atm as I need to finish getting brakes, tires, and poly bushings + alignment done.

What about sharing a Caterham hire at a Bookatrack track day? It's not exactly "exotic" but you'd struggle to have as much fun for +/- £325 each.

which is great until you have an accident then realise that they take NO spares with them so end up wasting the day

You could look at a car limits day at North Weald airfield - you can use your own or hire a Lotus Elise - supposed to teach you a lot about where the limit of the car is, and how to control it. I keep meaning to go.

Thumbs up for that too, loads of fun. You can take the BM and try out drifting it in perfect safety.

Well as low as my tires are getting I may as well think about drifting. They are almost to minimum's. Close enough that I'll be ordering new ones soon as I get tax return money in. Tires, plus poly bushings MMMMMM.
I'll probably take my dad to Snetterton, but wanted to see what else was out there.

Now I guess I'll ask the really big question. Does anyone know where you can do Dogfighting here? As in Aerial combat? My Dad really really wants to do that.

Find a local flying club and try to convince someone to take you up?

I know of a guy in Kent who blasts around in a Mustang (plane, not car) most weekends. I bet he'd take a passenger (presuming that plane takes 2!) but it's 2/3 hours from you.

I take it you're talking about getting a ride, not flying something yourself?

Well, I know Dad would like to fly it himself (I've seen him on flight sims, not sure its a good idea  ). He'd probably be just as happy taking a ride, Distance isn't too big a concern for him I don't think.

This day is not in Suffolk, it's at thruxton in Hampshire, but I tell you about anyway as the main car is a lambo SV670.
1) to start its 4 laps with the instructor to show you the racing lines (Mazda 3 MPS)
2)then a Porsche cayman for four laps (2.7 litre)
3) Lamborghini LP670SV, yes, that's right the 670 BHP monster, OMG i cant wait :D
4) then 5 laps in a formula Renault single seater, and if you pay a little extra they will film this for you :D If i look fast enough I'll post it on the forum!!

the total experience lasts for 3 hours and costs £385.00

I cant wait :D
