Driving a 'normal' car?

I just had to park up one of my parents cars - and it was the first time I drove a normal car since I picked up the Z4. I was amazed at how different it felt, it thought I was driving a bus, my knees were bent, I looked down on the wheel and I was really high up!

I was crap with the pedals too, I've gotten used to driving an SMG :D

:driving:

Yep, I've had an auto for a year now and last time I drove a manual a couple of weeks ago I was crunching the gears

Makes the Z4 feel like a right beast when you get back in it though.

I had to drive my wifes Trailblazer the other day, and it leaned and swayed so bad I could hardly keep it in one lane. :headbang:

Had the same the first few times I had to drive the my wife's car after getting mine. Now swap with ease between the two - does roll a bit more though :?

Yeah, now almost any other car I drive feels slow and sluggish. Also I keep searching for the clutch when I stop.

A few year ago my daughter drove a VW Bettle and late one evening I took her car to get gas for her so she would not need to get up earlier in the morning to fill with gas. It's about 2 miles to the gas station down a country road with this one sharp curve where the suggested speed is 25 MPH. I usually take it at 50 or 55 in the Zed... :driving: I guess I was going about 40 in the VW and damn near lost it in the curve...
