On winding down my drivers window the other day, I heard to "crunch of death" and a slower than usual window movement which strongly suggests the regulator cable is about to fail. Having read lots of other posts it is clear that my window regulator has had it and I need to replace it.
Would anyone have any experience of replacing the cable they can share with me? I have seen the YouTube video from another member on here and it looks straightforward but I am not sure if it is as easy as it looks based on other posts I have seen. I see I can buy a replacement quite cheaply and for much better value than the full regulator kit from BMW. I am quite happy to have a go at doing this myself and the option to save over £100 is most welcome.
I'm just a bit torn between spending £25 on a "simple fix" or just biting the bullet and spending £150 for the complete parts from BMW.
